It’s not every day you get to learn from your sporting heroes. But on Saturday a group of aspiring South West netballers had the chance to work with some of Australia’s top netball talent during an on-court session with West Coast Fever players.
Young sports women from the South West Academy of Sport and ECU Souwest Jets took part in a two-hour training session delivered by West Coast Fever players Sasha Glasgow, Emma Cosh and Jess Anstiss.
The training session at the Leschenault Leisure Centre included fun warm up activities with the focus on attacking skills and working together as a team.
“It has been many years since Fever athletes visited the South West region and it was exciting to be around the young SWAS and Souwest Jets players and to hear their excitement and passion to improve their fitness and skills,” SWAS netball head coach Dale Nielsen said.
Daisy De Morton was among the local netballers who took part in the on-court session with West Coast Fever players.
